HISTORY

In the slums of the University of Oklahoma, a remarkable endeavor took shape.  In the bottom of the quad, in a room with white walls with iridescent blue and greens marking, sat the Baron and the Poobah.  Smoking a lavish, albeit homemade hookah, the two were spindling the wee hours of the night awake to the approaching dawn.
Listening to internet radio, as people once did in antiquity, it occurred them to use their already existing web capabilities to host a radio station of their own.  After struggling, giving instruction, and a few hours of sweating, the first incarnation of the Monkey Chainsaw Projects was born.
The station enjoyed a life of approximately a year or two.  Strangely enough, there was apparently a small group of people in Northern Europe (see Risk Board Game) who rather enjoyed our eclectic music selection and clever radio spots.

Here is the running history (riveting web maintenance as performance art):

04/08/08 - We are overhauling the site! so... there will be some outages and broken links...the art page should remain intact through all this, though!

11/26/07 - More updates, the latest Artist added: Amanda Finch. The digital photography is like hot lava, great to look at, difficult to make.

9/7/07 - We have new art! I would like to introduce the mixed media of Lora Newton and the Graphic Design prowess of Kristi Keney. Also, there will be some sketches, writing, humor, and yes Poobah a different poster or two.

6/22/07 - Changed the Art dislpay, using Slideroll Gallery AV. There are not as many options as I would like, but it is clean looking. Also, I have added the artwork of Casey White. Check it out!

5/25/07 - I have changed to splash page due to excessive loading times. Also, we will be adding some art soon.

2/8/07 - Preliminary T-shirt designs are up. feedback is appreciated, as well as submissions!

2/4/07 - Have tried to streamline some of the art gallery content to moderate success. More content for the rest of the site to appear soon. Also, if you want to submit anything for the site email it to: submissions@monkeychainsaw.com.
