I really like to paint. I like to draw and make prints, too. But probably not as much as painting.

I also enjoying telling stories. The problem is when you try to tell a story with one painting, a lot gets left out. It's like looking at one frame of a film. Which can be cool instead of a problem. Because you can create your own story. You can find abstraction. You can avoid being boring by spelling everything out.

My paintings try to tell those incomplete stories. I want the viewer to create their own narratives by intereacting with painting. To that end, I use colors in conjustion with composition and handsome paint handling.

The prints and drawings accomplish the same goals by using pop imagery as surrogates. In the latest series, it has been the 1980's Transformers that fit that role. One large difference is the process. The prints are made by using monotypes. This allows for the use of painting techiques and control with the indtroduction of some chance.
